Merry meet and welcome to my little corner of the net!
I am Grayraven, a 41 year old Pagan and Wiccan living in Seattle, WA.

Why I chose this path
My initial introduction to Wicca was in the seventies and I have been learning and growing with it off and on for many years.

Having had experiences with various Christian churches I was always left feeling 'hollow'; I didn't feel the divine presence in my heart. While I liked the pagentry and ritual I wanted to feel more in my heart. Several years ago I read a book about Wicca by Scott Cunningham. Reading his description of the Divine and the wheel of life and death, I knew, in my heart, this was the path for me.
This is my other site... My "public" site can be viewed here

A Wiccan seeks to control the forces within him/herself that make life possible in order to live wisely and well, without harm to others, and in harmony with nature.

Despite this definition, there are a lot of misconceptions about Wicca and Paganism in general. For example, I found a book in a waiting room recently entitled "The Truth About Witches". This book was geared toward children and among other things discussed how witches eat babies. Far from the truth and even with the knowledge that this was somewhat whimsical, it still angers me. If, for example, a book were published entitled "The Truth About Christians" with the same bit about eating children there would be nationwide or even worldwide outrage.

I have friends that are good, decent people. But as Christians they believe any occult is the work of the devil. It is not my place to judge their faith; Indeed each has their path and each path, in my opinion, is valid.

I respect my friends and do not wish to make waves with them, so I maintain two sites. -->
